From Fruit Waste to Mycel

Partnered with SynMetaBio, Zozorika uses Mycel, a sustainable fiber material for apparel production.

STEP ONE

Recover natural waste fiber materials, such as discarded fruits from DuLe.

STEP TWO

The discarded fruits will be mixed with mushroom mycelium as a nutrient source, providing essential nutrition for mycelium cultivation.

STEP THREE

The mixed materials will undergo fermentation in a fermentation tank.

STEP FOUR

After 3-4 days of fermentation, pure mycelium will be grown.

STEP FIVE

After further processing, the mycelium will become the pulp used for making leather.

STEP SIX

The pulp, after coating and drying, will be adhered to the base fabric to obtain bio-based mycelium leather.
